October is a busy month (Birthday-wise) in our extended family. Tomorrow B's daughter's partner is celebrating.

A cake was requested; the Olympic rings - Oh how we laughed!...

...and laughed some more as I gamely decided to lend a hand, mixing the five colours of icing, and some more as we attempted to get the icing to stick, and yet more as the blue ring collapsed in a heap...and then less so when we saw the state of the kitchen at ten to midnight!

You can't beat a homemade cake, no matter how mishapen, or unrecognisable it may be; it was made with love.
