The dropped stitch

By Bodkin

family Sunday

Pleasant, relaxing morning playing with Freyja while J and the boys went to the cinema.
Really bright and sunny, but surprisingly chilly in the wind when she and I had a walk to the shop. A few rounds of I spy and animal guessing games needed to encourage progress and take our minds off the cold.

We stopped off at the infant school playground. All thoughtfully done: small size play equipment suitable for the lower classes, activity boards with wooden spinners and bold primary colours, a little nature area. So a bit disappointing to see the position of Shetland and Orkney on this lovely clear map.... in a blue puddle, alongside each other, off the Aberdeen coast. Oh dear!
It reminded me of the t shirts that used to be sold locally with a map of Shetland on the front, next to a small box containing the rest of Britain!  :)
