Training Day

F and I have volunteered to do surveys of curlew and lapwing in the area to hopefully eventually stem their decline in the area.

Today was the training day for how to do the surveys and record findings at two areas in our region.  We went along the Montgomery Canal and then in the Maesbury area and were pleased to see both species.  The blip is of some of the group looking for the birds.

We have been allocated squares of land to survey and F and I have one with Danger Area, Rifle Range in our area. We'll have to be careful around there!
