Love birds

When I went over to the castle this morning I was watching this pair of jackdaws beak tapping. Unfortunately when I looked at the photos it's difficult to tell what they're doing so I chose this one. They're enjoying a quiet moment of birdie pair bonding.

After yoga I tackled an ivy that has appeared in the garden. Unfortunately it's roots have gone under the concrete of the fence base and although I've loosened it I don't have the strength to pull it out. I'm hoping that F will be able to do it when he comes around. I have visions of it being like the story of the Enormous Turnip but not a tasty soup at the end!
