GREETINGS FROM PPYC

It should be called Pine Point Yatch Club (PPYC) - but this is what greeted me at about 945 hrs this morning to do my duty as backup boat for the Canterbury Sigrid Championships. three boats turned up ( very brave of them ). there was not a breath of wind and the gog was down low on the port hills as can be seen or not seen.
we launched to go to the middle of the estuary (bouy #22) and as we arrived the Officer of the day,who was in the larger Patrol boat fell and badly bruised her ribs -(not known if broken then ) - so in timely manner the racing was abandoned for the day. - I say abandoned, but there was probably no guarantee there would have been enough wind for sailing anyway. = Somedays one just goes backwards !!
