KINGFISHER (Halcyon sancta)

I was amazed to find an almost identical shot of the Halcyon sancta
( kingfisher) as the one I put up yesterday.  Its not the same shot as they were definately taken on two seperate days - the difference is clearer on closer examination of the perch's. Sorry its the same species today but the in-between season is making the estuary very very quiet. - the Godwits have gone as have the other trans-world species of birds. - so we will have to wait it out for the wintering over birds to arrive.
