Waiting

Why is it that they always hustle one out of the relatively comfortable waiting room into a sterile white room with nary a magazine in sight and not even decent WiFi for blipping? I would hazard to guess that is has  something to do with the white board in the waiting room listing each of the practitioners in the office and whether they are 'On Time'. If  you are in a sterile cubicle at the appointed hour, the fact that waiting for another 25 minutes  contemplating the tools of the trade, in this case surgically removing skin cancers, becomes irrelevant...It wasn't exactly reassuring when the doctor finally came in and asked the assistant to bring in the 'smoke extractor'.....

In all seriousness I ask the following question...what does it take to bring down a  man who has the attention span of a five year old, corrupt business deals in countries all over the world, pays prostitutes and Playboy centerfolds to keep quiet about their affairs with him, brags about harassing and molesting women, lies pathologically about everything and doesn't believe in climate change, even as it is happening before his eyes? It seems to be a testament to our overworked legal system that it takes a year to prove the obvious.... Couldn't we have a do-over on this election?

The neighbors came over for coffee today and Ann took a picture of Ozzie as he liked the milk foam from her cappuccino out of her cup*.  He is famous for doing this, and everyone who has coffee here knows that if they have steamed milk in it Ozzie will be standing nearby watching them attentively. If they're not forthcoming quickly enough, he'll move a little closer and start drooling....
