Not the prettiest of subjects, but this was taken for our assignment about shutter speed. Here I also attempted to use my tripod for the first time, and it went terribly wrong (it's very cheap and flimsy!) so I ended up balancing the camera on the bridge, with visions of it falling away from my grasp and tumbling into the thundering traffic below...

But, obviously, that didn't happen and I was quite pleased with the result. Using a slow shutter speed has revealed some dust on my sensor though, which now I must learn how to clean!
