And today six wonderful hours in the company of master bee keeper G and fellow students W and C who are budding beekeepers.
We learned about the structure of a bee hive and how to build it.
Which bee does what and when in the hive, the difference between the honey, pollen and brood cells and then a wander across the road to a bush block apiary to see hives in action.

Not the keeping for me but the learning and yes the donning of the suit and lighting of the smoker (extra).
The huge suit and long heavy fingered gloves not great for photos or selfies especially when the camera is tucked away in a trouser pocket shrouded by the suit!
