quite the gentleman

I've been busy with a mid-day meal of corned beef and cabbage for hubby and m-i-l, so blipping was put on the back burner.
When I finally had time, I went out back with my camera. And there I saw this gallant male house finch take a seed from the feeder and bring it to a female waiting in the peach tree. Unfortunately, the couple hid behind twigs on the branch when the transaction actually took place, so I didn't get a good shot (see extra). But here is the proud fellow after his profer of love.
