Quickie!
Too darn cold to linger long outside today. Scilla bifolia, which ranges from Europe into Western Russia in natute, is used to dealing with the cold and stands up to it well, unlike the daffodils which have drooped somewhat in the Siberian blast we are experiencing.
A good morning at basketball for Jamie and he still seems full of energy this evening too. We're getting packed up for our trip to Wales tomorrow, watching the traffic webcams in the Welsh borders nervously as the snow showers begin to bite there. I am due to work the early shift on Mondays photographic charter train using the unheated Victorian stock - packing plenty of layers, gloves and a hot water bottle and some cord to hang it round my neck and down under my thick coat :-)
