Day 1 Fitting new ACs in bedroom

(Backblip) Threading the pipework through the windows (it has to be kept as straight as possible) before it is threaded through the celings.

We bought our apartment in Spain with a view to renting it out as a holiday home and supplementing our pension income, as well as enjoying it ourselves. We bought the apartment a year ago and Andalucia had just brought in new legislation for renting out holiday accommodation. This included having AC and heating in the living areas and bedrooms amongst other things. Although we already had AC in the lounge we didn't have it in the bedrooms. Not a problem we thought, we will just put the AC unit outside the bedroom windows! We asked the company who looks after the apartment if we needed permission, and if so how to apply. That was last November. We were told it would have to be raised and voted on at the next General Meeting. These are normally only held once a year in August, but we were in luck as they needed to have an EGM in November/December to discuss the repainting of the front of the block as it was looking a bit shabby. So we talked to the AC engineer and he gave us some options as to where the AC could go. We submitted our proposal to the Resident's Association and the Vice President came and discussed it with us and said he didn't see any problems. November, December and January came and went no......meeting! Then we got an email the meeting was scheduled for February! It happened just before we were able to come out and.....those members present couldn't decide and so they voted to postpone the decision until the next meeting. ....in August!! So we'd already wasted months and decided to cut our losses and take the more expensive option of running the pipework from the bedrooms at the front of the apartment to the terrace at the back (we are allowed to put AC units on the terrace). It's a long thin apartment and weren't even sure if it was possible but the AC engineer said it was and hey ho here we are!
