Lighthouse mini roundabout

Another Sabinillas roundabout again today. This time a mini roundabout just up from the sea front. Sabinillas and Duquesa can both boast a lot of beautiful mosaics around their towns. This little lighthouse is decorated with sea themed ceramic mosaics, as is the curb around the base of the roundabout. There is a small traffic sign on the central reserve which shows an anchor in mosaic on one face and a ship's wheel on the other face.

I took this picture looking towards the sea as it seemed to be the "front" of the lighthouse but turning around and looking in the other direction then one can see that the curbs of the central reservation have been decorated with mosaics depicting waves.

I find all these mosaics really fascinating and I will have to try and find out why the town has so many.
