Highlight of the day was a trip on the train from Christchurch to Arthur's Pass, where our coach met us to take us to Franz Josef.
Perfect weather for photography, the sky was blue and the air clear; by the time we checked in to our hotel the clouds had descended and rain fell, the first time in the holiday that we have needed waterproofs!
