Running Repairs

The road to Kaikoura is now open following extensive damage in the earthquake of 2016 but repairs are far from complete as construction vehicles are constantly working to renew or replace sections of the highway.
We were fortunate to be able to see how the land had been raised in height such that the rocks now lie above sea level.
