At the foundry

The Vernet les Bains ten bell project for the installation of the first ring of bells in France capable of being rung for English change ringing is making good progress.  Jeff and I had a three hour meeting at Taylors foundry in Loughborough to finalise plans, costings and installation.  We hope to have the bells installed for Easter 2019. The two bells we already have are in the shot and the other eight which will be cast in the autumn all have sponsors. Walking around the foundry was very informative and seeing all the manufacturing processes including the tuning was fascinating.
