Isobel came to take Archie out this morning, and apparently he had a big play with an Irish setter!

More tidying up around the garden. The scratchy path was washed, pavers front and back were brushed, new wee daffodils were planted. Only they're not daffodils. Narcissi. Surely this is Spring... [EDIT: No! I've just seen reports of the Beast from the East No 2!! - Snow this weekend]

In the afternoon, we watched Episode One of the new series of 'A Place to Call Home' before popping down to visit Rufus and his mum - they've been away dog sitting for ages. More birthday presents for Archie! And not-birthday-presents for us.

Rufus let Archie pose with him in his new bed. And yes, Archie is leaning as far away from Rufus as possible. Why? Because Rufus growled at Archie once, years ago, and Archie's never forgotten that.

But what a cute pair!
