Stockton Flyer

We walked from the camp site at the Tees Barrage, where we are staying for a few days, to the centre of Stockton.  At one o'clock this wonderful steam "folly" emerged from a plinth in the town centre.  It was the noise of the hissing steam, clanging of bells, blowing of sirens and hooters that drew out attention to "something going on round the corner".  (A larger view in the extra picture)  A couple of minutes later it disappeared back into the plinth until one clock tomorrow!
It was so pleasant to be walking by the river with no wind and no rain!!!!!
