Millie.....
A really gentle, beautiful lurcher with big and appealing eyes! She came with Bob who we had invited for Sunday lunch and sat so patiently while we ate.
We chatted about Ann a lot, and her funeral service and the celebration service, and all the things said about her. Bob has received over 100 cards. He had given a gift to Ann's church towards the catering afterwards and learnt today that it had also paid for 100 bunches of daffodils for their Mothers' day service today. Ann would have been thrilled.
My extra is We 4 with our dear mum at M and E's wedding. She was determined to wait and hear all about the day after the event, so sure she would be 'a hindrance' to us. Our father had died two years earlier and Mum was recovering from a second knee replacement operation (the first one had gone wrong.) No way would we let her miss out on a special day. She was so thrilled ...and so proud of us.
Our pastor was brilliant as ever in the Mothers' Day service this morning. He is always so inclusive and makes this day accessible to everyone, whatever their situation, status or memories. A God-given gift...
