Rugby Princess

I cannot remember or be bothered to check if I have blipped my rugby playing princess before. She started with the Under 7s minis in September. The first couple of weeks were great. Then she got drenched. The following week she got hit in the face with a rugby ball. Last week she didn't want to go so we decided not to force her (a man forced his pig and it died).

Today was a match day at Perranporth. As the sun was shining, I agreed to go along and watch Lily. Actually, initially I agreed to send with her and watch the others. Anyway, long story short, the wonderful coach Jeremy got her to play 2 games and she skipped and smiled through both of them. She clearly is not a natural rugby player, but as Jeremy said at the end "Lily, it was a delight to have you on the pitch"

After bacon butties/pasties in the club house, we headed to the beach to watch a couple of hardy surfers braving the big scary looking waves. Then we called in at Lanhydrock for lunch before collecting Bella from Scout camp and going home for Chinese Takeaway!
