In the past, our night time badger visitors have lifted the cage feeder to access any leftover food. We have a suspicion that the visitor that is coming at the moment is a younger badger and his strategy for getting at the cage food is to barge it out of the way. Last night, he managed to demolish it once he had finished the peanuts put out for him. Fortunately it was fixable, but in future, we will have to remember to move it out of  the way after dark.
