Knapps Loch

Dull day but dry. Had to go to Bridge of Weir, so when I had finished I carried on to the car park for Knapps Loch. For years I have intended stopping and today I finally did it. Discovered you can walk round it. Met a few dog walkers and one lovely supposedly white Westie. It came up for a pat but luckily it didn't jump up as it had been up to the top of its legs in mud, which was still oozing down its legs (must have thought it was a beauty treatment!)

I could understand why the dog walkers were wearing wellies as I went round and glad I had brought old walking boots but still enjoyed it and the autumn colours were glorious - pity there was no sun to light them up. You can just see some mallards under the trees, there was also some tufted ducks and buzzards and a sparrowhawk flying overhead.
