Emergency blip

The first workman, an electrician, arrived at 8 am followed by 2 engineers and a supervisor by 9am. Since then the water and electricity has been off, the back door has been wide open and I have been trying to find a hole to crawl into.
With both the light and my patience fading fast, the grey skies persisting and no inspiration for taking a photo I decided to nip outside and find the nearest thing that looked even half way decent. So here is my acer palmatum atropurpureum which is a lovely plant all year round, pity it's such a nightmare to spell!
The sound of workmen finishing for the day is music to my ears as is the news that we have hot running water AND electricity once again
