Tributes to a loved teacher.

Today we drove through rain for most of the trip.  The low cloud and rain on the windscreen was just perfect for my reflective mood.  I wasn't the only past teacher driving up today.  I met up with them at the Marae.  We were welcomed on and could spend time with Louise.  She is in an open coffin surrounded by flowers  lying in the meeting house.  Late we drove to school and saw these flower tributes to her tied to the front fence.  They have hand written notes attached.  The children are all saying what a lovely teacher she was.  Her past students, now at high school, have been practicing a haka to perform in her honour at tomorrows funeral.  I think that shows how wonderful she was and how they want to give her something in return for all she gave to them and countless other children.
