Hungry birds

Hare Hill was closed over the weekend because of the weather - the problems being more to do with the fact that you couldn't tell, because of the snow, where the ponds started and the banks finished.  And there are no volunteer gardeners or rangers on Mondays, so today was the first time anyone had filled the bird feeders since sometime last week - and probably early last week.

It was first job today - to fill all the feeders - and the birds were queuing up.  The two peasants were following me around waiting for me to drop some seed on the ground - which of course I did do.

The rest of today was spent, with all the other volunteers who were in, tidying up.  It was good to be there - I'd missed last week because of some work I had to do, which was very last minute..
