Ugly
This is the topic for today's Mono Monday hosted by Nickimags888. A bit of a poser this as I don't actually consider many things as ugly, and especially living in the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon (ahem...).
About eighteen month ago I published a blip of the demolition of the nightclub that used to be know as Maisons on the corner of Greenhill Street and Arden Street. Following successful demolition and a tarpaulin patch of the residents house next door, this plot of land has remained untouched to this day; this is an ugly blot on the landscape. Abundant weeds littered with all sorts including a traffic cone have grown up unabated, there is no sign or indication when the development of this land will, if ever, go ahead.
It is a shame that this is right on the pedestrian route from the station to the town centre, not a very good advert for the town.
Other items on my Ugly hit list are the Natwest building, Rother Street, a prime example of 1960/70s functional architecture, see extra, and the multi-story car park at Bell Court, though you can lump that in with all multi-story car parks!
