No. 135 Red Breasted Merganser

We woke up to a very different day today on Lindisfarne: dull and grey. We bade our farewells to Sean and Jackie, our superb hosts at the Lindisfarne Hotel and had a brief stroll round the harbour before leaving the island for our journey home. I'd hoped to add to my bird tally during this trip, but as I was focussing on landscape photography, and therefore didn't have my longer lenses mounted, that didn't happen. However, on our walk we saw 2 sawbills by the harbour. I hope I've got the ID right. If not, the above image may be changed to a redshank - surprisingly still on my to blip list. Lots of catching up to do tomorrow!
