At last, I was able to go out in my car today! There was still plenty of snow on my road this morning and even more on my driveway but it was all thawing rapidly and the the roads were more or less clear the moment I turned out of my road. 

So this morning it was church and then a special family day celebrating younger members' birthdays - I 'm so glad the snow hadn't held any longer, or I would have missed the occasion!

On the way, I pulled in at a local viewpoint to capture the view across Poole Harbour and especially the clouds. In the distance, Corfe Castle and Brownsea Island are just about visible but you wouldn't spot them, if you didn't know they were there.....
