Snowy lake

Took a walk in the park this morning. All the paths are covered in around a centimetre of impacted snow - which has turned to ice at the base. The snow on the grassy areas has been blown off in the high winds yesterday. It is still very cold, minus one. 

I did see some birds, and it was a real toss up which picture to use, so I will add the swan extra, and a bird I've never seen in the park before which I think is a snail kite? Appreciate comments from those with more knowledge on birds than I.
