Trying to blip more regularly...
So I'm going to try and blip a bit more regularly - give my six subscribers something worth subscribing for! :-)
This is a tulip, which I had to take with a flash - need a tripod to get round the camera shake - consequently the flashed washed it out a little so I had to play around with the levels a bit (okay a lot!) in Photoshop. That was kind of the look I wanted anyhow.
I must remember to take it off JPEG when I'm fiddling around. Multiple saves have resulted in a loss of detail.
Random thought for the day - did you know you can't swim in diesel? It has no 'bouyancy' if that's the right term. You just sink straight to the bottom - there's nothing to 'push' against.
Found that out from my Dad. When he was working on the motorway (building the M23) they had a big diesel tank for fueling the heavy machinery. A guy called Dave, wanted to check how much was left and as there weren't any gauges or anything the only way to tell was open up the tank and have a look. He did so and somehow managed to fall in, sinking straight to the bottom.
Luckily, someone saw him fall and got him out quick before any harm was done.
From that day forth he was known as Diesel Dave!
Anyway, off now to open a flickr account, oh and stoke the bunny, who keeps looking at me with an accusing look on his face!
Night.
