In Memory Of...

I had my nan's funeral on the 22nd, Sylvia May Kingwell.

It was sad to see my mum as upset as she was, and also to think that I should have spent more time with my Nan. I really didn't know her as well as I should have. Lesson learned.

It was nice to share stories and memories afterwards with friends and family. She really was quite a character.

I thought I'd post this picture of her as a young woman with my Mum and her twin sister. She looks very glamourous, it must have been sometime in the 50's. Cheating the rules a little, I know, but I did take this picture today.

Quiet weekend really, choosing brown paint for the living room, getting a quote on a new fish tank and making another batch of chilli jam - can't get enough chilli!

I've been thinking I'd like to blip more regularly, perhaps when we've finished decorating the living room. I could also post some of the random thoughts, my firends know me for! :-)
