Showing off

The longer that I looked at this photograph the greater my conviction grew that these leaves were all competing with each other, showing off in the autumn sun. I gave the 'most manicured' prize to the leaf maintaining a horizontal hold (over on the right, half-way up), which seems to have perfected a curl unmatched by any of the others!
