Bird brain

Never seen any thing quite like this before. A blackbird feeding from a hole in the snow, with all the debris visible. Any one know if it is being opportunistic or made the hole itself?

In extras it shows in Reggie’s face just how cold it was today.

Also had an ambulance stuck at the end of the road today in the ice. Mr H and a couple of other passer bys tried to help, but luckily a passing gritter wagon came to the rescue. Hope the patient on board didn’t suffer any illl effect from the delay.

Still snowing now ( just into Thursday morning)
