Frozen

I picked up firewood and something for the birds before going over to Port Meadow.

I'd only walked half a mile or so before the cold got into me. It was -1 when I set off, but the biting fleshstripper of a wind made it feel much colder. The blue sky had fooled me. My cheeks burned and the pain in my ears became unbearable so I turned back to find the temperature had dropped to -3.

Time to come home to the warmth and defrost.
