Gyr Peregrine Falcon

At the weekends Glasgow's pedestrian areas are are a great space for buskers and entertainers. Today, in one street, there was a girl painting on old vinyl LPs, a young lad playing 'keepie uppie' with a football, singers, drummers and a guitarist who had his falcon for company ..... a very unusual sight at certainly drew the crowds.

This is a Gyr Falcon, the largest species of Falcon in the world and originates from around the Arctic Circle.

A lovely day ..... my favourite type of weather ..... crisp, clear and cold. No Olympicsto watch ..... I have withdrawal symptoms but it's just about 10 days till the Paralympics and then it's the Commonwealth Games .... that will keep me out of mischief till the middle of April.
