Down came the rain .....

..... and up came the river level. Where earlier in the week there had been a weir in the river it was now completely covered by the very fast flowing White Cart.

The weather has calmed down a bit this afternoon with even one or two glimpses of a blue sky but it will take some time for all the surplus water in parks and fields to disappear.
