On the dike

Our planned walk on the dike ended up as a drive; some rain squalls arrived just as we got there. Most of the snow has melted, except from the higher elevations. This Cinnamon Teal ( Anas cyanoptera) couple was swimming in an irrigation ditch.
In the extra: a Merlin (Falco columbarius) is eyeing me for a snack...
