A day off which was quite productive,  I defrosted the freezer during the morning, and did a bit of admin and a load of washing as it was dry. In the afternoon, a walk to check on Dad's and then shopping. In the evening Caroline picked me up and we went to Twyford, for a pottery and decoupage evening, with wine and nibbles and pizza. There were eleven of us that used to work at the same school; of those only the family support worker and one of office staff are still there. It is sad that so many talented teachers are either doing supply (so that there is much less pressure to do admin and planning, and so the school day ends at 5 for them), or they have left totally. It was a lovely evening with much chatter and painting and glueing
