I really took this photo for the lovely red-tinged moss, but I also like the jumble of rooves it captures.

(Not terribly happy with the word 'rooves', but googled it and find it is 'dated, but not incorrect'. That sounds about right!)

It's the centre of Kirkwall - Laing Street - the old rubbing shoulders with the new.
