The Norseman's Bride
Busy day at work, including a visit to my favourite meter cupboard in the old Imperial Hotel, Kirkwall.
Blip is of a painting by Harry Berry hanging on the stairs. The Norseman's Bride ran aground on the rocks near Fairisle during a storm, in January 1975. All crew were safe.
Divers later recovered the maker's name plate and the propellor. I was excited to find out the propellor is there in that very building. It sits at the bottom of the stairs. But, oh dear! it has been made into a table!!! Why??
I took a photo for the record but thought the painting a much better one to blip.
Sunny day and pleasant meter reading weather - but I would like to have been gardening.
