Pinocchio?

Take a closer look at the bill. This is a Stellar Jay with a short black bill. But it sure looks like it has a long twig like bill that grows into the tree!!
I was so focused on the black crest fluttering in the breeze that I didn't notice...and I haven't seen the bird since for a do over.
