East Coast of Northern Ireland and the Irish Sea

All went according to plan. Left Heathrow on time, arrived in San Diego on time. In the hotel where we are staying for one night in under an hour from getting off the plane.

Enjoyed the hospitality of the BA lounges with a good breakfast followed by a bit of shop browsing before boarding.

A very smooth if long 11 hours, rather too much cloud. The west coast of the UK was clear with good views of Liverpool, the Wirrel, the Mersey and the Dee, The Great Orme, Anglesey, Menai Straits, Isle of Man, the east coast of Northern Ireland and Strangford Loch.

After that it was pretty much cloudy until crossing the Rockies where there were good views of the mountains. Cloud again until over Los Angeles where they cleared away to allow us to see that sprawling city in all its glory.

The final stretch was along the Pacific coast passing Oceanside, Carlsbad and Torrey Pines before turning inland for the final approach to San Diego descending with good views of the Coronado Bridge, the Southern Pacific Navy Base and Downtown.

Today’s Tiny Tuesday challenge is something sharp. I’m hoping that this qualifies. Everything is tiny from 30,000 feet and it is a sharp photo given its with an iPhone, into the sun and through a window. Thank you for hosting mindful_life

The extras are the Coronado Bridge (San Diego) The Wirrel, The Rockies of British Columbia and banking on final approach to San Diego.
