Froggy Throat!

At 9am this morning, I joined my friend in the hide at Forest Farm, Tongwynlais, Cardiff, for some 'birdie' photography. It was busy there but three hours soon passed with good conversation and banter.

The photo I like best is of a heron that grabbed a frog from the reens and played with it for nearly a minute before swallowing it whole! Reminds me of the expression of a 'frog in the throat!'

The Kingfisher also turned up and I managed a photo of it swallowing a fish whole (see blip extra). Some Jays were also flying back and forth - they're nicely coloured birds, too.
