Joaquin Almunia

Another one for my collection of European Commissioners. This one is the Commissioner for competition policy and I was surprised to discover he is not a lawyer.

He was speaking about 20 feet underground in a Roman bath complex (sorry, cannot find a link in English). It is pretty impressive and was only (re-)discovered in the 1980s. Now they've stuck a big glass building on top of it, so it's a museum and also a dinner venue.
