Iris
The decaying berries of Iris foetidissima, next to a dried up sedum seed head. These mementos of autumn hang on in all sorts of places, and will only finally disappear once the spring growth starts in earnest. I love these burnt orange and amber colours and have a great fondness generally for earth colours. I thought I had allowed sufficient depth of field to keep both elements in focus, but it wasn't enough to keep the sedum, or even all of the iris, in focus. Back for another go maybe. I think there might be a mono photograph here too, so may try that as well.
