Stepping Out

Took my brother to Lisbon today (well, he drove, so guess he took me), for his 47th birthday. It was beautifully foggy - this is a ship sailing past the Belém Tower, from where the caravels set forth.

We went over on the 25 de Abril bridge, ate pastéis de Belém, walked along the river bank, had fish for lunch, walked all around the Baixa, had a ginjinha (cherry brandy), went on a 28 tram, listened to fado in the Alfama, and left by the Vasco de Gama bridge... 15, 533 steps altogether.
