Preparing the Lane for Resurfacing

Today our lane has been “closed”, for preparations for the  resurfacing which is happening, date unknown. We did not notice the closure; the postman delivered the post as did another carrier bringing a parcel; some traffic has been going up and down as usual.
 
The extra picture shows the hole that was identified as needing repair, the one with a cone on it. My husband asked about the other holes and was told that they would not be repaired. However, when they actually came back and filled the holes, main picture, they did the others as well; not sure of their logic! These pictures also form part of my “One Street”.
 
I hope to complete all the marking this afternoon, so that I can have the weekend off. Then on Monday I will give them all a final check to make sure that the comments and marks are correct.

A bright, sunny day, but also quite cold this morning with a lot of frost.
