Cat toy or portal to another dimension?

Borrowed this toy to amuse the kitten. It makes a laser dot zoom around the floor for pet to chase. Kept her amused for a while.

This is it on long exposure, carving a portal to hell on the living room carpet. Kitten blur at 2 o'clock.
