D Day 1971!

When I was going through old knitting patterns etc I came across this and put it "somewhere safe" for today.  Well, I have spent the last half hour searching for it, so even though I can't get a brilliant photo of it, I'm using it!  It has got an article entitled "Anyone for Embroidery?" on the back, with some nicely illustrated basic embroidery stitches, rather than a knitting pattern for a natty 1970s  sweater . . . 

I can remember clearly getting on the bus to school and paying with "new money".  Decimalisation was fairly straight forward for us as children, but must have been hellish for grown ups, bus conductors, shop keepers and other businesses.
