Cone free!

Fin a much happier boy now. He underwent an operation 2 weeks ago to find and remove an undescended testicle, fortunately it was found in his groin and the vet did not have to go searching far for it! However, he was shaved completely on his stomach and even with a cone on he managed to  lick at his skin and the wounds. He is aptly named as a "pot licker" collie, small head and long thin nose...perfect for reaching out of the cone. So, several trips to the vet for wound infection treatment and then a severe bout of vomiting. Poor Fin, he really did not know what had happened to him and he was miserable for 2 weeks, plus he burst one cone and required another but bigger. On Sunday we were able to remove his cone, wounds all healed up and skin irritation died down. One happy pup!
